In order to be considered for admission to a graduate study's program, an international student must produce a complete set of official credentials to establish that he/she meets all requirements for full admission to the particular program for which the application is made. An international student is not eligible for conditional admission.

English Proficiency
Students who are citizens of non-English-speaking countries must show proof of English language proficiency.
Achieve a qualifying score on an English proficiency exam accepted at 51ºÚÁÏÍø. Official test scores should be sent directly to 51ºÚÁÏÍø using reporting code 6272. Scanned copies are acceptable and can be emailed to international@hsu.edu.
Minimum English Requirements (must meet one of the following):
- IELTS – Score of 6 or better
- Duolingo-Score of 100 or better
- Pearson PTE score of 53 or better
- Internet-based TOEFL – Score of 80 or better
- Paper-based TOEFL – Score of 550 or better

Financial Responsibility
Provide proof that you, or someone who will sponsor you, can pay for your studies at 51ºÚÁÏÍø.
The International Student Affidavit of Support is required for this purpose. The financial statement should show that the student has at least $15,924 (USD) to cover tuition, fees, room and board, mandatory health insurance, and books/other course related expenses.
This is only an estimate as tuition and housing costs are subject to change. All applicants must be financially independent, as there is no financial aid guaranteed to international students attending HSU. Limited graduate assistantships are available. Tuition and fees are required at the time of registration and must be paid in U.S. funds.
