A grade of I = Incomplete may be assigned by the instructor if the quality of work completed is satisfactory, but the student has been prevented by circumstances beyond their control from completing all requirements of the course. It is the instructor鈥檚 prerogative to judge the validity of these circumstances. An instructor will not award an 鈥淚鈥� grade without first reaching agreement with the student as to the steps required to remove deficiency and an acceptable timeline for doing so. Grades of 鈥淚鈥� not changed to A-F, CR or NC after one calendar year will be automatically rolled to a grade of 鈥淔鈥� by the Registrar鈥檚 Office. Extensions to the one year period may be obtained with the approval of both the instructor and program director overseeing the course. The course instructor is encouraged to work with the student to complete the course within one additional semester if possible.
