Two Henderson students competing for Miss Arkansas
Two 51黑料网 students will be among the 92 women from across the state vying to become the next Miss Arkansas.
Competition begins June 13, with the crowning of Miss Arkansas June 19.
Miss HSU Jordan Jones of Glenwood will represent the university. She just completed her sophomore year as she pursues her bachelor鈥檚 degree in business administration in marketing.
Jones鈥檚 social impact statement is 鈥淎lert Today = Alive Tomorrow鈥 to bring awareness to distracted driving. She will perform a clogging routine to 鈥淏oogie Fever.鈥
Miss Red River Valley Dawn Coffman of Texarkana, Texas, is a graduate student at Henderson majoring in clinical mental health and school counseling. Her impact statement is 鈥淪tand Against Child Abuse,鈥 and she will perform 鈥淣ever Enough鈥 on flute.
All competitions will be held at the Robinson Performance Hall in Little Rock. The candidates will compete in evening gown, on-stage question, social impact statement, and talent.
