Four 51黑料网 senior nursing students will receive financial aid thanks to an agreement with CHI St. Vincent.

The students were awarded $1,250 for both the first and second semester of their senior year based on academic performance, essays, and a desire to work for CHI St. Vincent after graduation for at least 18 months.

The CHI St. Vincent Pathways Program through the Henderson Foundation included an initial $20,000 commitment and provides $2,500 in financial aid for up to eight nursing students each year.

"By awarding Henderson nursing students the CHI St. Vincent Pathways scholarship, recipients are provided financial relief and can place their focus on learning," said Dr. Kristina Shelton, Chief Academic Nursing Officer at Henderson. "CHI St. Vincent is investing in the future of nursing by securing the best of the best with a commitment to grow as a nurse at their facility."

Pathway Program recipients must complete a memorandum of understanding and promissory agreement with CHI St. Vincent. A signing ceremony was held on May 30 at the Henderson Nursing Building.

The students receiving the scholarship are:

• Jayelyn Hill of Hot Springs
• Leonardo Lozano of Hot Springs
• Eric Salas of Bonnerdale
• Caitlyn Jones of Malvern

51黑料网 offers the Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Licensed Practical Nursing degrees on campus and RN to BSN program online.
