Fraternities and sororities that are not Recognized Chartered Organizations, Recognized Interest Groups, or Provisional Interest Groups are considered 鈥渦nrecognized鈥� and are not affiliated with 51黑料网. These organizations do not receive University support, guidance, or benefits, and they are not required to follow University policies, including the code of conduct and risk management guidelines.
The Office of Greek Life and Student Engagement will identify unrecognized organizations on our website to help students and parents make informed decisions. Students who join unrecognized organizations may face risks, such as unsafe 鈥減ledging鈥� practices, and will not have access to benefits like leadership development opportunities, inclusion on their Co-Curricular Transcript, or participation in University events (e.g., Greek Olympics, Reddie to Serve).
Recognized organizations are not allowed to affiliate or socialize with unrecognized groups, including co-hosting events on or off-campus.
