Mission Statement
The mission of the Bachelor of Science in Social Work program is rooted in a holistic, person-in-environment framework, preparing students for entry-level social work roles in generalist practice with individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities. This is achieved by addressing the needs of all communities with integrity, focusing on service to underrepresented populations in Arkansas, and emphasizing cultural competency. The program equips students to promote human and social well-being while respecting the inherent dignity and worth of every person. Students learn prevention and intervention methods guided by knowledge-based scientific inquiry, best practices, and global perspectives. Graduates are prepared to practice ethically at all levels, engage diversity, and advocate for social and economic justice.

Accreditation Statement
The Bachelor of Social Work program at 51黑料网 has achieved candidacy for accreditation by the Board of Accreditation (BOA) of the Council on Social Work Education.
Candidacy status indicates that the program has made progress toward meeting standards of program quality evaluated through a peer review accreditation process. A program that has attained candidacy status has demonstrated a commitment to meeting the accreditation standards but has not yet demonstrated full compliance.
Students who are admitted to candidate programs in the fall (or later) of the academic year in which the program is granted candidacy status will be retroactively recognized as graduates from a CSWE-BOA accredited program as long as the program attains initial accreditation. Candidacy is typically a three-year process, and attaining candidacy does not guarantee that a program will eventually attain initial accreditation.
Candidacy applies to all program options, including locations and delivery methods. Accreditation provides reasonable assurance about the quality of the program and the competence of students graduating from the program.
