Meggs is a Henderson alumnus who has spent more than 40 years as a music educator, receiving numerous awards for his concert, marching, and jazz bands in Texas and Arkansas.
Lynzie Norwood, a junior from Hot Springs, was awarded $1,250 for both the first and second semester of her senior year through the CHI St. Vincent Pathways Program.
Courtney Brown, Linda Tillman-Gant, Claude Pryor, and Tyree Watkins have jointly contributed $25,000 to create the Brown, Pryor, Tillman-Gant, and Watkins Scholarship Endowment, which will provide annual scholarship support to deserving students who meet the established criteria.
The ceremony for College of Business and Teachers College graduates will start at 9 a.m. The ceremony for College of Performing Arts and Social Sciences and College of Aviation, Science, and Nursing will begin at 1 p.m.
Willie Hansburg received the Young Alumni Award, Sarah Hutzel was presented the Rising Star Award, and Print Mania was named Business of the Year. Outstanding Student awards and scholarships were also presented.
The name change coincides with the addition of three courses geared to prepare pilots for aviation careers, including those not enrolled as Henderson students. These include a commercial multi-engine add-on course, a tailwheel course and a CFI spin-training course.聽
Students Princes D. Rodriguez, Valerie Anderson, J. Riley Kratz, and Lydia Serviss, along with faculty mentors Dr. Renn Tumlison and Dr. Brett Serviss delivered the results of their research at annual meeting.
McNair Scholars at 51黑料网 are required to present their research at the annual conference. It gives them the opportunity to network and make connections with more than 100 graduate schools.
The institute will be held July 16-21 at the Dawson Cooperative in downtown Arkadelphia. The summer sessions are in person, with four virtual follow-up sessions on Sept. 13, Nov. 1, Feb. 7, and April 4.
Events range from ensemble performances to student recitals. Attendance is free and open to the public.
Dr. Joe Campbell is an assistant professor and chair of Counselor Education at 51黑料网. The program offers two degree tracks: School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Both tracks lead toward professional licensure.
Transfer enrollment has reached a five-year high point with 66 transfer students enrolled for Spring 2025. This reflects a 43 percent increase year-over-year and tops a high of 64 transfer students enrolled in Spring 2023.聽
